Give me a break. The politicians are going to come up with a new world economic order? They are the reason the one we have is broken, because they can not live with the harsh realities of market economics, despite their glee in siphoning from it.
Well, first thing they'll never agree on what it ought to look like. More than likely each will not even agree on its own recommendation of what it should look like. But you can bet whatever comes out, chaotic kluge or no, will be much more socialistic - that is, regulated, controlled, by politicians of course - than what we have now, which is already pretty socialistic. It will also be even more chaotic, whatever form it takes. But we'll all be happy in our stodgy, stuck in the mud mediocrity, right? Ah, but we'll have regulation; oh will we have regulation, and we'll all be happier because the wealth (what's left) will be spread evenly. Halelulia.
Sure. And it will give us time to get ready to fight over oil - and water. And God knows what else. Maybe the UN will run it, and won't that make the Iraq oil scandal looks like child's play? Too soon we get old; too late we get smart. And then a new crop of young idiots starts all over again.
